I’ve started to make homemade food for my new dog because she refuses to eat any kind of Dog Food. My dog loves to eat carrots, apples, cabbage and rice. Are these foods ok to give my dog? And are there anymore vegetables that most dogs like? Thank you xx
Dogs tend to like snaps, spinach, kale, collards, etc & you can buy them chopped but frozen & simply microwave them warm, in order to feed them to the dog or you can puree fresh stuff. Adding a bit of Old Bay Seasoning to the veggies can also make them tastier for the dog. Dogs also like plain cooked sweet potatoes (a flavorful, low glycemic carbohydrate) & squash. You DO need to add a meat protein (not mentioned) and a source of adequate calcium.
You can add a few blueberries but keep in mind that feral dogs & wolves don’t tend to eat fruit other than what is found in the stomachs of their prey. You don’t want to tax their pancreas with too much sugar, since the normal carnivore diet of meat & bone requires very little insulin for digestion. Brown or wild rice is much better for the dog, than white rice (more fiber, more nutrition, less sugar).

My dog walks on the lead and pulls so hard and chokes himself. I just want him to be normal and calm and walk beside me at my pace. All other dogs manage to do it! How do I teach him?
There are several things you can do. Be aware that it takes time, consistency, and patience. It will take a while before he learns, and he will only learn if you train him everytime he is on the leash.
There are different methods, they can be mixed and altered according to what works with your dog, and what situation you’re in.
1. Follow the treat: Take your favorite treats with you. Get his attention and hold the treat by your side, walk along with him sniffing at the treat. At first, give him a treat every few steps to keep his attention. Slowly prolong the time he spends walking beside you before giving him another one.
2. Stop and sit: When your dog starts pulling, call him back to you and make him sit in front of you. Don’t walk to him, show him that he needs to come to where you are and pay attention. Praise him when he sits and then start walking again. When you first start training he will mostly likely start pulling again immediately, be patient and repeat the sit.
3. Turn around: When your dog starts pulling, like the moment he start to pull, just turn around and start walking in the other direction. Call to him, be nice about it. Show him that pulling will not let him get to where he’s hurrying to, in fact he’ll end up having to go in the other direction.
Good luck. I repeat, time, consistency and patience is the key!

Beginning early this year, google made some changes to their search ranking, in the hope of furnishing it’s search users better results, google engineers published blog post which indicated there were 11.8% organic search results will be affected, in another word, almost 12% of google search results are useless or of low quality. Google started this change almost one year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, but almost all the ranks promoted by articles and blog posts were not affected, some of the keywords even ranked better than before, it’s safe to say that old way of link building is doomed.
Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, the only updates on those websites are the new links, and most of them are useless, the name link spamming are just for these sites. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, the links on those spamming sites won’t work anymore.
Maybe a few examples will make it clear. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I started with this keyword, Wheel Strap, at that time almost every body was doing plain linking campaign, lately I figured that every site in the campaign had way too many links, and those sites had only links, no real content at all. This strategy worked in the beginning, eventually the keyword could be found on first page, the party was over when google updated it’s algorithm. Now let’s look at another keyword, chain puller , we put the link in relevant context, with very few plain links, now we have really good ranking for this keyword. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? In fact the only thing matters here is content, so if you create great content, your rank will improve over time, since search engines are another kind of readers. How do you do it? Writing articles and building blogs, take a look at this blog, top smartphone , I build it as a hobby and kept adding good or mediocre content, it’s no way this site will rank, right?, actually, no, much to my surprise that the site actually ranks for quite a few keywords. As far as SEO concerned, article marketing with great content is the way to go. Now imagine you have your own blog network, something like E Track Strap, then it will be easier to do article marketing.
Remember content is king, you just need to create content, get people to enjoy and share your stuff, promote your business with the content, this strategy will prevail in short or long term. Persistence and patience are the keys to success, nothing will automatically improve overnight, be it your business or search rankings, now all we have to do is to share our love for creating and sharing quality content and not to worry about the ranking every day. When publisinh articles, I prefer ezine, new article will be indexed within an hour if not minutes, and some popular blogs will get your post indexed in minutes, there venues are ideal for promoting your site, I believe you should see for yourself, say this Vehicle First Aid Kit, quality content, nice presentation, indexed by google, all these points make it perfect for SEO.
By the way, if you don’t take social media account, you’re lost. One thing you can do for your blogs is to install twitter tools, get a twitter account and API keys, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, then make sure every new post will post a new tweet, it’s easy and really useful, no one should miss this tool out.

This is another cool Dogmantics Dog Training Tip on how to teach your dog to walk next to you on a loose leash.
If you are consistent with this behavior, you can actually make pressure on the leash a CUE for the dog to back up and they learn to walk on a loose leash as a default.
=—-
Teaching a dog to back up into the heel position on walks is helpful for many reasons.
1- If you have more than one dog on a walk sometimes it can be hard to turn around and go the other way if both dogs are ahead of you. Teaching them to back into the heel position allows you to move freely
2- If you train your dog that when he reaches the end of the leash the only way he can move forwards again is to back up, he will consciously start avoiding hitting the end of the leash. This means- No more pulling on leash.
3- This is a great impulse control exercise based on the Premack Principle. In order to move forwards you must first move backwards.
